Join us from 9am - 4pm at the community grounds on King Drive, Woodridge 6041 to celebrate. With country market stalls, food trucks, lots of exciting rides for the kids (and a couple for the grown ups), live music and entertainment and a pop up bar, there's fun for everyone! Next Public Meeting - Sunday 20th October 2024 Local HistoryWoodridge Western Australia – 6041, is a Rural Estate Community at the Gateway to the Wildflower Region. Populate by residential properties, located 78 kilometres (48 miles) North of the Perth Central Business District, Perth is the capital city of Western Australia right on the Sunset Coast of Australia.
Woodridge is 26 kilometres North of Yanchep National Park, YNP is on the West side of Route 60 - Wanneroo Road / Indian Ocean Drive intersection change over. Woodridge is separated from Perth's residential metropolitan area boundary by a 16-kilometre long x 10-kilometre wide area of State Forest at Wilbinga. This area is densely populated by Kangaroos, Emus, Snakes, Echidna, Goannas', Lizards and many varieties of Birds - including the endangered Carnaby White Tailed Cockatoo.
Recent Census show a steady population growth over the past 20 years:2016 – 645 people 2011 – 584 “ “ 2006 – 565 “ “2001 – 541 “ “ 1996 – 485 “ “
The Woodridge Community Association leases and maintains the Community Hall and Grounds which are owned by the Shire of Gingin. The grounds and local park are a great location to stop off and stretch your legs before your long journey North, there is a local Cafe and the Park has public B-B-Q's free to use, there are many large old trees which are great to relax under during a hot summer’s day. The public toilets at this park, are your last chance for a rest stop for the next 150klm. The grounds are maintained by the Shire of Gingin contractors, there is a large pond inhabited by ducks and geese, along with large tennis courts which have been recently resurfaced, these courts are open for public use all year round.

The Annually Spring Fair is held in November that attracts large crowds and stall holder. This year it will be held on Sunday 3rd November
Woodridge also has its own Local Emergency Services: Fire Station (Gingin West Bush Fire Brigade) St Johns Ambulance Sub Centre (St Johns Ambulance WA - Lancelin) Along with other Community Groups: Moore River Youth Group Woodridge Equestrian Centre Red Robin Playgroup Boat Ramp - Woodridge (Gravel, suitable to smaller crafts) - There are two boat ramps in the district, the first is located just 6 kilometres from Indian Ocean Drive / King Drive at the Woodridge turnoff, travel down King Drive to Links Road, turn left, follow it a short distance to Barragoon Rd, turn right onto Barragoon Rd, then travel to the end, about 2.5kilomeres. The ramp is a basic gravel continuation of the road into the Moore River. The area can launch smaller Boats, Kayaks etc… into the Moore River, great place for fishing for Bream. Being close to the Moore River tourist area, it is a relatively hidden gem worth a visit for its sense of country charm. http://www.waterwaysguide.org.au/map?nid=16469
Boat Ramp- Guilderton (Professional, suitable to all crafts) 8 Kilometres North past the Woodridge turn off on Indian Ocean Drive, turn left at Guilderton Rd, then follow the road 7 kilometres to the town centre on the coast. http://www.waterwaysguide.org.au/map?nid=16469
Woodridge Properties are all acreages the smallest being about one and a half acres and the largest is estimate to be 20 acres, there are also working farms within the community.According to some long-time locals, Woodridge was established by Mormon's in approximately the early 1980s and was a Mormon dominant community, though it is no longer considered to be so with families of various faiths. Other long-time locals who bought in 1981 (after the original estate developers went bust) say that Woodridge was never a Mormon community at all, and originally was marketed as semi-rural acreages with the area near the community hall (currently Wooly Bush Loop) originally being a golf course.
